Lauren Prastien is a writer, educator, and voiceover artist based in Pittsburgh. She holds an MFA in Fiction from the Helen Zell Writers’ Program at the University of Michigan. Originally from New Jersey, she is a graduate of Princeton University, where she studied Anthropology, Creative Writing and Theater. She writes and co-hosts Consequential, a podcast about the human side of technological change. Her work has appeared/is forthcoming in MQR Online, Print-Oriented Bastards, Refinery29 and Contemporary Literary Criticism. She co-hosts the Good Words digital reading series with the poet Katie Willingham.
Previously, she taught composition and creative writing at the University of Michigan.
